The Sunday of Rescue

The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) will hold a Chain of Prayer called “Sunday of Rescue”.It will run for two Sundays, on 20th and 27th February. This Chain of Prayer aims to rescue those who once were in the presence of God, but left for some or other reason. It will emphasise the need for members of the body of Christ to go out and bring back the lost souls.

“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent”. Luke 15:7

Comments from people who left and came back

Ms. Radebe
“My daughter invited me to the church where she used to be an assistant. When she left the church, I also left. I was ashamed that people would ask me why she had left. My life got worse. I was unemployed and I could not support myself. Later I realised that I did not only leave the church, but I left God. I realised that while I was still in the church my life improved. I decided to go back. I began to take part in the movements of faith and I became faithful to God. My life started to change and I also got a job. Since the day I returned, I never looked back.”
Agnes
“I left the church and went back to the world. I was not spiritually mature and that is why the devil took advantage of me. I fell sick and my life just got worse than before. One day something inside me told me that I should go back to God. I was at the lowest point in my life, without hope. Today I have grown in all aspects of my life. God has raised me from nothing to be His servant.”
Sizeka
“I have been a member of the church since 2006 and experienced so many challenges in my life while in the church. I was faithful with my tithes. However I felt like God was failing me, so I decided to stop tithing and later left the church. One day a pastor came to my house and encouraged me not to give up. I prayed for God to lift me up and strengthen me so I could have the courage to go back. He did that and I’m happy in His presence again.”
