It is not written that a good daughter will be a good wife and a good mother, but she will be. Nor is it written that a good son will be a good husband and a good father, but he will be. This is what life has taught us. As surely as God exists, true children of God will be faithful, understanding and excellent partners.
It is the cross every Christian must bear. The vertical beam represents a relationship with God. The horizontal beam of the cross represents the relationship with your spouse. There are no crosses without horizontal beams. In a perfect cross (marriage), the horizontal beam is formed from the vertical beam. A wise man will choose to build the horizontal beam of his cross out of the same wood as the vertical beam. The same material that forms the vertical beam will also form the horizontal beam. A spiritual man will look for a spiritual woman. A woman that is born of the Spirit will also look for a man that is born of the Spirit. They both have the same godly nature.
They are faithful with their tithes and offerings. If they are faithful to God, they will also be faithful to each other. They are willing to sacrifice their will to do the will of God. They sacrifice themselves for Someone they do not see, they sacrifice for their Beloved. Beauty is in the virtues of a person’s character. “An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones,” Proverbs 12.4.
She is discreet in her conduct, speech and the way she dresses. If she respects her parents, she will respect her husband and vice versa. “Who can find a virtuous wife?” Proverbs 31.10. The Lord helped Hagar, Sarah’s maid, at the well when she was afflicted. Rebecca, Isaac’s wife, was found at a well; Rachel, Jacob’s wife, was found at a well; Zipporah, Moses’ wife, was found at a well. The Samaritan woman found Jesus at the well of Jacob. In Biblical times, the construction of a city began around the discovery of a spring of water. Eternal life and a strong, happy marriage also begin with the Lord Jesus Christ – The Fountain of Life. The well represents Jesus – the Fountain. The water represents the Holy Spirit – the Water of Life. Read and meditate on this message until you understand it perfectly. Without a doubt, the Spirit of God will enlighten your understanding.
