“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6).
It is important to note that no one deserves anything from God. Hence when a person manifests his faith in Him, he will be rewarded. This means that God will reward those who act upon what’s promised. Many people in the Church say that they believe in God, but they don’t live according to His word.
They say: “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want” but if you look at the quality of their lives, they are in distress, pain, suffering and in want. How many people say they love God, but are unable to forgive? People confess their faith in God but are unable to quit their addictions.
How God can reward someone who is unwilling to give up what’s wrong? God is searching for people who trust in Him
wholeheartedly without hesitation, people who look for a partnership with Him. (Read 2 Chronicles16:9) It’s not enough just to say that you believe in Him.
The Bible says that even the devil believes in God. If you are living on the side of injustice, your faith will not bring the justice that you seek. For you to be blessed, you have to give up injustice.
How? Simply by forgiving those who have hurt you and forfeiting the wrong ways of life. Attending Sunday and Wednesday services, being a faithful tither and offering cheerfully, does not automatically mean that you practise genuine faith. Jesus said to the Pharisees: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.” (Matthew 23:23)
Dear reader, maybe you believe in God and you say that you love Him, but your life is a failure because you keep lying, deceiving people, being dishonest to those around you, etc. (Read Colossians 3:4-10)
It’s time you make a decision to change and seek God diligently. Start doing what is right. Be righteous. If you live in darkness, go to the light. From the moment you decide to do what is right, God will reward you by pouring His justice upon your life.
God bless you.
