When a person does not have a humble heart, how will this person hear when God speaks to them? If God will speak and rebuke a person who has no humbleness, it will be hard for the person to hear and be obedient to the voice of God because that person has no humbleness. Humility in a Christian affects three key areas of his or her life: his ministry before God, his heart and his life on earth. For example: • A humble servant of God seeks first to honour, love and serve his Lord and Master. • A humble heart is one who is willing to give up all he has and commits his life to serve God at any personal cost. • A humble life is of such a nature that one that is willing to live unnoticed and to give all glory to God.
