2010 National Tour for the Universal Gospel Choir
The Universal Gospel Choir began its 2010 National Tour on Saturday, 27th February. The event took place at the UCKG in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, where many people enjoyed an outing with their families.
The choir performed traditional music and songs of worship, getting everyone singing and dancing. The youth group from Hillbrow also kept people entertained with drama and poetry performances.
Those fortunate enough to attend were lavish with their praise.
“I’m happy to be here. All the songs they sang revived my soul. I knew something good was going to happen, and yes! I feel blessed,” said Mary Dube.
Vuyiswa Tasana said he enjoyed himself and had not expected what he saw. “It was the first time I watched the choir perform and it was an overwhelming experience. For those who could not make it, they really missed out.
A long time choir member, Tyrone Dire, said he had never seen supporters like those in Hillbrow. Another choir member, Rient Nkosi said they loved the spirit in Hillbrow.
“The people received us so well. It was absolutely good being here today. Great things are yet to come. In our next album you can expect spiritual songs that will lift your soul,” he said.
To watch their forthcoming concerts, get tickets at UCKG churches in the following areas:
