More than 100 000 people throughout South Africa have attended the All Answers Event since it started three months ago.
Lesotho celebrated its Independence Day on 4th October. The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) also celebrated the day by holding the All Answers Event in Maseru, the capital of Lesotho. Bishop Marcelo Pires, who is responsible for the work of God in South Africa, delivered his message of faith. The people of Lesotho came in large numbers to pray to God and ask for answers to their requests. “One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.” Psalms 18:4-5
Speaking at the event, Bishop Marcelo said although a person’s faith, long service in the church and age were important, what really mattered the most was believing and trusting in God’s ability. People from Oakmore, Kimberley and Meadowlands also had the opportunity to present their requests and ask God for answers. Praying for the government, churches and people, Bishop Marcelo highlighted the different kinds of crisis that the world is facing.
He went on to point out that these crises also affected personal lives and encouraged people to put their trust in God. He gave the example of the time when Jesus was in a boat and there was a great storm. The boat was about to sink and the disciples were afraid but Jesus stood up and rebuked the storm. He then encouraged people to do the same thing Jesus did when storms arise in their lives.
“… rebuke it and trust in God,” he said.
