What if one touch could change your life?
People suffering from different sicknesses took part in the “Hands- on Healing service that was held in all the UCKG churches around the world, on Sunday 28 January.
Speaking at the Cenacle of the Holy spirit in Johannesburg, bishop Marcelo Pires, responsible for the evangelistic work in South Africa, encouraged people to nurture their faith continuously because healing is a work in progress.
Demonstrating God’s healing power, bishop called all those people with severe medical cases, he laid his hands on them and declared their healing.
“…they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
A week before the service, the bishops, pastors and assistants of the church held a night vigil to consecrate themselves and engaged in a fast for the healing power to be upon the members and those who would be part of the service.
Many people who attended the service including those who came to the church for the first time, received words of encouragement.
Betty, member of the church in Johannesburg came to the church with pains all over her body and she returned home healed. “The man of God laid hands on me declaring my healing and the pains left me.
Thuli also a member of the church said : “I learnt that nothing is impossible with God. I attended the service and I believed that my sister who has been sick for two years now would be healed,” she said.
Disclaimer: The UCKG does not claim to heal any one, but believes that through faith, God can heal them. Those under medical treatment are advised to continue taking prescribed medication and follow their doctors instructions.
