Baptism in water is a turning point for those who truly want to start a new life with the Lord Jesus. After His resurrectionthe Lord Jesus taught the disciples about its importance by giving them a clear command:“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)
This day will be the day before the 17th of April, the day of the out pouring of the Holy Spirit. Where all those who took part in this journey of 21 days of fast will be baptised with the Holy Spirit.
This is what people should know about water baptism
- Those who have repented of their sins and have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ are eligible to be baptised.
- They should be baptised immediately upon conversion to Christ.
- By receiving water baptism, they are following Jesus commands
- They are baptised into Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection for the remission of and release from their sins.
- Believers are baptised by full immersion in water.
- Biblical baptism is done in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (John 3.5)
