The Day of Declaration in Polokwane

On Saturday, 19th September, the people of Polokwane received a visit from Bishop Marcelo Pires. The Church was filled with people who came to seek more of God. Some sat on the floor and spilled over into the overflow area because of the shortage of space inside. While the people in Polokwane waited for this great meeting to begin, they danced with excitement and anticipation.

time-of-serviceThe meeting began with a reading from the book of Luke 8:50. “Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” The Bishop said, “Jesus is saying the same thing to you ‘Do not be afraid’”. He called on those who had received bad news and prayed for freedom. “Do not put only a part of yourself in the hands of God, but put your ALL in the care of God.” This was the message he brought for the people of Polokwane.

Many people do not place their lives completely in the hands of God. They give a part of themselves and the other they keep for themselves. Because of this they don’t see changes in their lives. Although they are in the Church for a long time, they don’t see any difference. In order to see the power of God in their lives, they have to give themselves completely to Him.
