I am very happy today because God has blessed us with this beautiful Cathedral. We started in Black chain and the condition was not good, but we persevered. I it was all through the grace of God.

I remembered when we started, we couldn’t even understand well what the Pastors were preaching to us, but could feel that the Spirit of God was there, because of the miracles that were happening.

Today we are living in the results of our faith and it is wonderful to be part of this family and above all to be one of the watch man of this Temple.

I started in Sunday school, which was held in a small room and it would be very packed. Sometimes we’d be in the Church and the birds would come and disturb.

It was not easy as the Pastors weren't Fluent in English. We moved to a better place that was renovated. Today God blessed us from that small place to this massive Cathedral.

I was invited to come to the Church because my life was a shame; I was drinking more than men, even people who knew me back then would call me a tramp. I lost my dignity as a woman; people never had respect for me.

After I came to the Church I learned how to behave and God moulded my character as a woman and I found the joy that I never thought I would ever find.

It was not an easy journey but I persevered, I was also encouraged by the pastors’ dedication, because the church building at that time was not in good condition, it was just a warehouse, but that never stopped them from blessing people like me.

God used them and I can say today I am where I am because some one who left every thing and allowed God to use them to save me today. I thank my God for the endless love he has for us.

When I first came in the Church, the hall was so small and we did not even have chairs we were sitting on crates that was in Park station. Shortly after that, another one was opened in Bara, which was also terrible.

The windows were broken even the birds made their nests inside the Church and they would disturb us during the service because they would fly around.

Everything was terrible but we persevered. Today it gives me great joy to be here in the cathedral as it wasn't easy but through prayer and actions of faith we can see the results of our perserverce.

I never thought that one day we would have such a beautiful Church like this one we have today. I remeber the first day the Church used to be a play ground and a nest of birds.

I came to the Church very sick and I learnt how to put my faith into good use. I am happy to see the house of God standing today as a beautiful temple.
