Humbleness

When a person does not have a humble heart, how will this person hear when God speaks to them? If God will speak and rebuke a person who has no humbleness, it will be hard for the person to hear and be obedient to the voice of God because that person has no humbleness. Humility in a Christian affects three key areas of his or her life: his ministry before God, his heart and his life on earth. For example:
• A humble servant of God seeks first to honour, love and serve his Lord and Master.
• A humble heart is one who is willing to give up all he has and commits his life to serve God at any personal cost.
• A humble life is of such a nature that one that is willing to live unnoticed and to give all glory to God.
In his book, entitled Humbleness, Bishop Marcelo Crivella explores the subject of humbleness, how it relates to the Christian and his or her relationship with God. This book is a must-read for all those who want to understand the power behind humility.
