A curse is finally broken

Sithembephi fought to break her grandmother’s curse over her life. Because her mother refused to allow her grandmother to raise her, the old woman became bitter and cursed the young girl.

Sithembephi was told she would not have children nor would she be happy in her marriage. After she married and gave birth to her first child, he became ill and died. Sithembephi’s second child suffered from an enlarged head and she feared he too would die. When her grandmother passed away, Sithembephi’s life went through a great deal of upheaval.

Her mother died and she had to move in with her parents-in-law. “Life became worse. My in-laws did not accept me as their daughter- in-law and that harmed my marriage. While my marriage was falling apart, my son’s health was deteriorating and I thought I was also going to lose him,” she said.

She told Universal News that she desperately searched for help to save both her son’s life and her marriage. She met a member of the UCKG who invited her to the church. “After a few weeks in the church, my son’s health started to improve. That’s when I believed that the power of God truly existed. I continued taking part in the Tuesday and Thursday chains of prayers and God answered my prayers,” she said.

Her son regained his health and the joy in her marriage was restored. Her grandmother’s curse was finally broken when Sithembephi gave birth to her third child, a healthy boy.
