Mandla Mbandlwa use to suffer from constant headaches which affected his brain for more than a year. His mother could not afford to take him to a private doctor to get proper treatment. She was the only family member who was working and she had to support the whole family.
“When my mother invited me to the church, it was hard for me to decide what to do. One day I just thought if my mother can’t afford to take me to a doctor I would die. So I decided to come to the Church,” said Mandla. Mandla did not only suffer from headaches, but he was also unemployed and dependant on his mother for a living. Mandla told the Universal News that he used to go to the church with his shoes worn out.

Mandla told the Universal News that he used to go to the church with his shoes worn out. “I couldn’t even afford to buy a pair of shoes. I used a cardboard box so that I could protect my feet from the cuts of bottles and stones,” he said.
In the Church he participated in chains of prayer for God to help him. Although he did not see immediate results, he never gave up. “Since I was not working, I used to iron my mother’s clothes and she would pay me. With the small amount of money she used to pay me, I was faithful to God in tithes and offerings. Two months later, God blessed me with a job and I was able to support myself,” said Mandla.
When the Campaign of Israel was announced, he took part in it and God opened more doors in his life. “God blessed my finances and I was able to buy a brand new car. Now I can afford anything I want. God also delivered me from constant headaches. I thank God for all He has done,” said Mandla.
