Bad Thoughts

It is interesting how negative thoughts can influence people's ability to concentrate on their goals. Such thoughts bring insecurity, fear and instability. That is why we need to fight and reject them by occupying our minds with thoughts of God.

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, ..." 1 Peter 5:8-9

To resist the devil means to reject his offer and not believe his threats, but instead to have the assurance that the devil's plan will fail and God plans will succeed in one's life.

It is a tug-of-war ... if on the one hand, you reject the bad thoughts, on the other hand, the problems seem to increase and become stronger. That is a strategy by the devil, like his last attempt to gain strength by convincing the person that he is wasting his time, that no matter what he does, nothing is going to work.

That is when other people, sent by satan, will come to bring more bad news, more fear, more evidence that things are looking bad and nothing will change.

God shows us the way to conquer. Be sober, vigilant and resist the devil steadfastly in faith. These are the weapons God gave us to defeat the devil. Therefore, do not doubt. God would never provide us with advice that would fail.  As a matter of fact, He never failed before and never will.

Keep connected to the word of God. Whenever bad thoughts come, reject them.  Immediately rebuke them and start glorifying Jesus and praising Him. Do not allow bad thoughts to control your life; otherwise, they will bring weakness and weakness will generate doubts, doubts will make you lose strength.

God bless you
