The importance of Evangelism

Q: What is the soul winning group all about?

A: Soul Winners are people who have had an encounter with God and have dedicated their lives and strength to saving souls for the kingdom of God. Members of the Soul Winners group walk long distances under difficult weather conditions to speak to people from different backgrounds about the Lord Jesus. What the group values most is rescuing those who are lost.

Q: Why does the church need the group?

A: Based on the book of Matthew 9:37, Jesus told His disciples that, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." The group works to fulfil God's mandate of saving souls.

Q: Who can take part in this group?

A: Members of the Universal Church who are converted, baptised in water and have the character of God. The candidate must have a sincere desire to help the lost without expecting anything in return. The group consists of people who want to do to others, that what the Lord Jesus did to them, and be willing to avail themselves as living offerings to be used by God for the salvation of others.

Q: Why is it important to win souls?

A: Winning souls is the greatest command from God to His church according to Mathew 28 :19-20. "Therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age," Amen.

Q: What are the most targeted places when doing the work of evangelism?

A: Soul winners target the most neglected parts of the society, mainly the squatter camps where there are the most people who are addicted, depressed, suicidal, helpless and in need of salvation.
