#TPA Event: Take the Pain Away
Young people are particularly impressionable and vulnerable. They feel things deeply and painful experiences are difficult to deal with. Many people suffer in silence but this debilitating pain, sadness, hurt or feelings of hopelessness prevent them from embracing all that is positive about being young and alive and rob them of the joy that they should be embracing.
It is a tragic reality that when people do not see a way out of their situation, they may consider ending their lives as a way of ending the pain. This is never a solution! Even if they do not reach this low point, they are likely to suffer from low self-esteem, feelings of inadequacy and depression.
The Universal Church Youth Power Group (YPG) has launched a Back to School Campaign called #TPA Event: "Take the Pain Away". The message is to take away the pain, not end your life.
This campaign offers understanding, empathy and hope. Your life may have had challenges, but it is not over. Together we can learn to end the pain, not end your life.
If you or anyone you know is carrying hurt, feeling hopeless and would like to be pain-free, please join us on 15 February 2020 at 11am for this special event.
