Felt like a failure

Thapelo had a taste of higher learning for a year, but from there he battled to secure a permanent job for over three years. However, it took only one month of committing to God, for his life to change.

"After I completed matric, I went to further my studies at a college. However, my single mother was struggling to pay for my school fees and my sister's who was already studying at a university. When I was done with my first year, I had to look for a job. I only found part-time jobs that didn’t pay me well until I stopped getting any.

For two years I could not secure any kind of job and it was frustrating because I depended on my mother again. That made me despise myself as a man I always feared that I was going to lose my mother and I was not going to have anyone to provide for me," he said.

In 2006, Thapelo was invited to the Universal Church by his mother who was already a member.

"I attended church services on Mondays for my finances to develop. I wholeheartedly committed MYSELF. Within A month I found a job and I was able to provide for myself. I continued attending church services and asked God to bless my love life," he said.

In 2011, Thapelo met Didimalang and they dated for four years before they got married.

"I'm a man with dignity who can provide for his family. If it weren't for my faith in God, I wouldn't have been this happy and content in life," he said.
